HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?

3. Receiving Login to your personal client portal
4. You fill out the required details
5. Introductory meeting with your walker in which you will hand over the keys
6. Walks can start

HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY?

Depending on type of walk chosen payment will either be due on 1st of each month in advance (for regular walks) or upon receipt of invoice (for occasional walks) If payments are not made on time we reserve the right not to carry out walks. All payments must go straight to the LDWL bank account.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes, for your peace of mind, we are insured by a specialist pet business insurance company. A copy of which you will receive with your initial "meeting arrangement" email.

WHAT DOES YOUR INSURANCE COVER?

Our insurance is an industry standard third party insurance, so insurance covering incidents involving third parties. However any medical attention your dog(s) may need would need to be covered by your insurance (or if you haven’t got insurance by you)

SHOULD MY DOG BE INSURED?

Yes our insurance covers third party (industry standard) but for any incident / accident leaving your dog needing a vet visit it would need to be either covered by the offender (dog, cat etc.) or by your own insurance. Please check your dog is covered whilst out walking with a professional walker.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY WALKS?

We do our very best to be flexible at short notice (for our existing clients especially) so if you get invited out after work or will have to work overtime do contact us and we will do the best we can – but of cause the earlier you book the better.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN AN EMERGENCY?

In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will assess the situation and (if at all possible) call you to discuss the next steps. If we can’t get hold of you or the situation requires immediate medical attention, we will, so far as reasonably possible, take your pet to your named veterinary practice (as stated on the form you will have filled out before start of care) or, depending on the circumstance, the nearest veterinary practice.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DESIGNATED WALKER FALLS ILL OR ON HOLIDAY?

We will arrange for another walker to cover the care for as long as needed. Depending on the situation you will be informed either before or after the replacement.

IS MY HOME SAFE WHEN YOU ARE OUT WALKING?

If you have an alarm in your home we will of cause set this as instructed whilst out with your dog (unless you do not want us to). Also we do not have advertising on any vehicles as we do not wish to highlight the fact that we are dog walkers taking your dog out for a set amount of time leaving your home empty. We are there to take care of your dog NOT advertise us selves!

DOES MY DOG RISK BEING WALKED WITH AGGRESSIVE DOGS?

No we would never knowingly walk a dog with prior aggression issues with any other dog.

MY DOG IS AN ENTIRE MALE, IS THIS A PROBLEM?

This is not necessary a problem provided he is not and does not become, aggressive/roaming. Ideally we prefer neutered dogs, as they are less likely targets for other entire males that we may bump into on the walks.

MY BITCH IS NOT NEUTERED, IS THIS A PROBLEM?

Not necessary however when she comes on heat we will not be able to bring her out on the walk, availability allowing we may be able to visit and let her out in her own garden instead.

DOES MY DOG NEED TO WEAR AN IDENTIFICATION TAG?

WILL I MEET MY WALKER?

Absolutely, we will arrange a free face-to-face meeting before start of care, this gives us a chance to get familiar with your pet and you a chance to ask your designated carer any questions you may have.

IS MY WALKER POLICE CHECKED?

Yes absolutely for your piece of mind all carers are policed checked! We also have a two-part interview process in one of which we will go through our very comprehensive carer manual. As well as this a minimum of two references are required from each carer.

DO YOU OFFER EVENING & WEEKEND WALKS?

We are happy to walk your dog any day of the year! For evening and weekend walks notice is advisable but we will do our very best to cover even at short notice (especially for our existing clients). We can also offer walks over bank holidays, Christmas and New Year. However walks outside regular Mon – Fri working hours are charged at an additional rate.

WILL MY DOG BE WALKED ALONE OR WITH OTHER DOGS?

It depends on the arrangement you have made with us, often it can be more fun for you dog to be walked with a friend but if you prefer you can book in one to one walks which is sometimes more appropriate for older dogs or for puppies.

CAN MY DOG HAVE MORE THAN ONE WALK PER DAY?

Yes, subject to availability. Each walk is charged individually.

HOW MANY DOGS ARE WALKED AT ANY ONE TIME?

We are insured to walk up to 4 dogs together however choose to walk only two dogs together for maximum enjoyment and safety for all.

DO YOU PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS?

Absolutely! We always pick up after the dogs in our care!

HOW LONG DOES THE WALK LAST?

Each regular walk has a duration of 50min from door to door, we however also offer 1-2-1 walks which are generally 30min door to door. When signing up we will talk about you and your dog’s needs and preferences.

WHERE DO YOU WALK THE DOGS?

Unless other specific arrangements have been made your dog is walked in the local parks, no time is wasted on transport as we pick your dog up from your home and walk him from there to the local parks.
